Kennel Club Good Citizen Classes @ The Animal Behaviour Centre
We hold Kennel Club Listed Status and run all The Kennel Club Good Citizens Awards and both KCGCDS Gold level assessors. The awards are open to all dogs and handlers.
The Puppy Foundation.
Open to all dogs up to the age of 12months and is aimed at providing a means of socialising puppies and to lay down a solid foundation for you and your dog’s future education and training.
The Bronze Award
The aim of the bronze award is to ensure that your dog can walk and behave in an acceptable manner. He should be happy to be inspected by you for any cuts, bruises, ticks or other parasites. It also aims to provide the handlers with a basic knowledge of understanding when training their dog.
The Silver Award
Build upon the skills that you and your dog have learnt in the Bronze Award whilst increasing the difficulty of some known exercises. Teach your dog the importance of play and how this can benefit both handler and dog when learning new things. Ensure that your dog can travel safely and with confidence in the car and be relaxed and confident when your vet checks them over.
The Gold Award
The Kennel Clubs highest level of achievement within the scheme and not only progresses from the silver level but teaches new lifestyle exercises such as stop at a distance and go to bed when asked.
